The Saints keep marching in to One Buccaneer Place.

PewterReport.com is reporting New Orleans free agent wide receiver Devery Henderson is scheduled to meet with the Buccaneers at One Buccaneer Place on Friday.

That news comes just hours after the Buccaneers agreed to terms with Saints free agent center Jeff Faine on a six-year contract that is worth $37.5 million and includes a $15 million signing bonus, according to NFL Network.

Henderson, 25, has the speed Tampa Bay is looking for on offense, particularly at the wide receiver position, evidenced by his 20.5-yard average per reception throughout his career.

A former second-round draft pick, Henderson has hauled in 74 career passes for 1,497 yards and 11 touchdowns.

However, the 5-foot-11, 200-pound Henderson caught just 20 passes last year and seemed to be phased out of New Orleans' offense.

Tampa Bay has several veteran wide receivers, including Joey Galloway, Ike Hilliard, Michael Clayton and Maurice Stovall, under contract in 2008. However, Galloway and Hilliard are 36 and 31, respectively, and neither Clayton nor Stovall has shown the consistency or speed the Bucs are in search of at the wide receiver position.

Great news about Faine. If we can grab Hendersen despite probably over paying for him will still be good for us. He is the type of WR Coach Gruden is looking for.
