In an attempt to add depth to the middle linebacker position behind starter Barrett Ruud, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed Teddy Lehman on Tuesday. Lehman, 26, played the first four years of his NFL career with Detroit. Read more about this signing in this PewterReport.com story.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have added depth to the linebacker position on Tuesday, signing Detroit Lions LB Teddy Lehman.
A former Oklahoma standout, Lehman originally entered the NFL with Detroit as a second-round draft pick in 2004.
Lehman started all 16 games as a rookie, but hasn't started a game since, mostly due to injuries.
The 6-foot-1, 238-pound Lehman has versatility, evidenced by the fact that he has played both inside and outside linebacker and made an impact on special teams in the NFL.
Lehman likely will compete for the right to back up Bucs starting middle linebacker Barrett Ruud in Tampa Bay.

This is what free agency is all about; filling back up needs and maybe get lucky with a starter like center Faine.
We still have plenty of salary cap money to spend yet too.
Some of it will be used on draft day to acquire a good player or two .
Go Bucs.

Horse, so far only three Offensive players added though. 4 LB's, that should make training camp a busy place for some of our starters.
Now let's get some depth at RB,TEand WR. I guess we could resign a couple of our FA players like Stevens etc. They don't seem to be getting much interest elsewhere, hmmm, do we want them back?? Well I guess if the price is right.
Hopefully these guys are coming back healthy and ready to compete for a position. If they are HUNGRY and ready to make a name for themselves I'm all for it.
GO BUCS!!!!!!!!!!!

Kysteve9 Stevens did alright for us and came up big w/ some catches. They need to get a speedster at WR for sure but one with hands unlike the sought after Henderson. Manningham would be great but DeShaun has that speed. Although if something happened like last year w/ Brady Quinn could we pass on a... Dorsey?
C'mon Bucs lets bring this one all the way home.
