Tampa Bay wrapped up its three-day mandatory mini-camp Thursday with a morning outing of paintball. The Bucs have officially concluded their mandatory mini-camp and are not scheduled to meet together again as a team until July 31, which is when the team reports to training camp.

In their last day together before training camp, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers spent Thursday playing paint ball. Head coach Raheem Morris had the session playing paint ball as the final day of the Bucs' three-day mini-camp. The Bucs players were outfitted with protective masks for the face and neck, and rental paint ball guns at Blitzkrieg Paintball, which is a paint ball course located near One Buc Place.

"Coach Morris let us come out and spend our last day of mini-camp playing paintball," wide receiver Maurice Stovall told Buccaneers.com. "We get a little team camaraderie and we're just having a good time. Competition doesn't change. As it is in the football field, you bring it right to paintball. Everybody wants to win and it's all about you and your teammates executing."

Bucs general manager Mark Dominik suggested the team accomplished Morris' goal for the third and final day of mandatory mini-camp.

"It's been a great team-building day," Dominik told Buccaneers.com. "We've had a lot of fun breaking up into different groups, being able to work with different guys and just having a good time. You can see, as the day has gone on and we've continued to play, the competitiveness has come out. We're having a blast. The players are really enjoying this and so is the staff."

The Bucs will be together next as a team on the reporting day of training camp on July 31. The first practices will be on Saturday, Aug. 1 at One Buc Place in the morning, and at Raymond James Stadium on Saturday night.

Prior to training camp the Buccaneers will have to sign their remaining unsigned draft picks (quarterback Josh Freeman, defensive tackle Roy Miller, defensive end Kyle Moore, cornerback E.J. Biggers, and wide receiver Sammie Strougter). The Bucs will also have to cut five players to make room on the roster for those players.

You know, I forgot we even drafted E.J. Biggers. PR, any word on how he's looked in OTA's?

Love to see this. With a young team you gotta get creative and find "young" ways to bond. Especially great to see Rheem and Dom out there. I like it.

Wilcox is an idiot. What exactly did he do in his NFL career to be an expert? Nothing. That's what I thought. The guy really is a douche bag and not just because he has been negative about the Bucs lately. He's just another guy that knows like 10% of the facts before he goes on national TV and broadcasts his "expert" opinion.

This team needs all the work they can get. Waste a OTA for paintball? I'm sure they could have done this on a off day. If Rhaheem wants to be a great coach he better , never mind.

LoganBucs37 - Why the hell not? They just had what, 13 OTA's of the same ol', it's good to mix it up. I personally think that every team should do something like this, if they already don't.

bucfan47 - i don't think you have the right to call anyone an idiot, especially one of the most tenured posters on this site.

LoganBucs37 - this is no different than the "offensive genius" took the team bowling or the movies. There were many changes this off-season. You can have all the x's-and-o's you want, if they don't perform as a unit or a team, it won't matter.
