Faine To Return To Action This Week

Bucs center Jeff Faine said he expects to play this Sunday against the Panthers. Faine tore his triceps in the Bucs Week 1 contest with the Dallas Cowboys. Faine has missed four games with the injury. Faine said he would practice on Wednesday and if all goes well he thinks he will be play against Carolina.

“I expect to play this week,” said Faine. “I’ll go out and practice on Wednesday, and see how it feels, and I’ll just go from there. My personal expectations are to go out and play this week.”

(on his health)
“I’m not 100 percent, but I feel good enough to go out and play and contribute to this team and help try and get a win,” said Faine.

(on when he thought he'd return)
“I was really wanting to go back last week,” said Faine. “It was just against my doctor’s wishes. I’m just ready to go this week.”
