McCardell To Meet With Bucs Tonight |
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are actively looking for a new quarterbacks coach and wide receivers coach at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala.
PewterReport.com is reporting that the Bucs are scheduled to meet with former wide receiver Keenan McCardell regarding the vacant WRs coaching position.
Former Bucs WR Ike Hilliard is also in Mobile and likely is a candidate to interview for the job, although he doesn't have anything set up with Tampa Bay yet in terms of a interview.
McCardell originally joined the Bucs in 2002 as a free agent from Jacksonville. The former 12th-round pick helped the Bucs win Super Bowl XXXVII, but was traded to San Diego in 2004 after a long contract dispute and holdout.

We are talking about teaching and coaching WRs.to play not how to negociate a contract. Would he be a great pro to learn from as a coach? I think so.

Sign McCardell already he has what most of WR do not, Hands & Heart. He know what it takes to play and how to play to win in the NFL. He had a contract issue with the bucs, so have a few other players. You cant say that he will not be an upgrade to mann he sucked the whole time he has been on our team. Who did he ever really coach up??? sign him and let him show us what he can do. Hillard fits the same billing to me why not have them both?
