I'm pulling for the Colts. Why? Because that means the Bucs curse will stay alive and strong.

Go Peyton...boo Payton.

The Sherriff will not lose to the good story, the Colts are a machine and just look at it like this, the Vikings turned the ball over twice inside the red zone throughout the NFC championship game. Had they scored on one of those trips we wouldnt be discussing this now.

So lets get real they will not beat the Sherriff and his machine...

The curse, or streak, has to be that no team has ever lost to the Bucs and then won the Super Bowl.

I have to agree with the post above. Minnesota did everything they could to lose that game last week. New Orleans refused to take it from them until Favre threw a perfect... umm... completion... to the guys in the black uniforms.

Meanwhile, the Jets came in as the hot team, using the tried and true formula of playing defense and running the football (it was nice to hear that Morris and Dominick took notice.) The Colts proceeded to beat the Jets at their own game, shutting them down defensively and outgaining them on the ground.

richm66,
LOL, great point, yeah the Times did state that Dominik and Morris were taking note, "Play dominant defense-run the ball" so the sherriff can carve you up at the end of the season, priceless!

This league is and always have been all about QB play. There is nothing wrong with the formula that the Jets employed but when you can only score on gimmick play you are doomed. Manning is the best in the game at his position and I dont care if you took the 99' or 02' Bucs defenses or the Ravens defense of old this guy would cut them up and give them a run for their money. Now ask yourselves what will the Saints do to actually slow him because their defense is nowhere near ours in the past...? That is why they call him the "sherriff"
