After a few days of game announcements and leaks, the NFL released the full schedule for the 2024 season Wednesday night. That obviously included the Bucs’ full 18-week regular season schedule, as well as the team’s three-game preseason slate.

Although their opponents have been set since January, the Bucs now know their full slate for 2024 as they look to win their fourth straight NFC South title and extend their NFC-best playoff appearance streak to five seasons. It’s a big year for head coach Todd Bowles, as he and his team improved from 8-9, division champions and a first-round playoff exit in 2022 to 9-8, division champions and a playoff win (before a second-round exit) last season. More progress will be the expectation in 2024, especially with a strong core of players still intact for another season.
For the first time since 2021 and only the second time since 2019, Tampa Bay will kick off its regular season at Raymond James Stadium. It leaked early Wednesday afternoon that the Bucs will host 2024 No. 2 overall pick Jayden Daniels and the Commanders in Week 1, and we now know that game will kick off at 4:25 p.m.

From there, the Bucs will get their NFC Divisional Round rematch in Detroit against the Lions, with kickoff set for 1:00 p.m. They’ll then return home to host another rookie quarterback in Week 3 as No. 12 overall pick Bo Nix and the Broncos visit Tampa for a 1:00 p.m. matchup.
Tampa Bay follows that with what looks to be a brutal stretch of games, starting in Week 4 with a 1:00 p.m. game against the Eagles in Tampa that leads into a short week ahead of a Thursday Night Football contest in Atlanta against Kirk Cousins and the Falcons.
The difficult stretch rolls on with a 1:00 p.m. road game against the Saints in Week 6, a home Monday Night Football game against the Ravens in Week 7 and a 1:00 p.m. home meeting with the Falcons in Week 8. The Bucs will then see last year’s Super Bowl participants in back-to-back weeks, heading to two-time defending champion Kansas City in Week 9 for a Monday Night Football matchup before returning home to host the defending NFC champion 49ers at 1:00 p.m. in Week 10.
Following a Week 11 bye, the schedule gets a little lighter — though it’s still with back-to-back road games against the Giants (1:00 p.m.) and Panthers (4:05 p.m.) in Weeks 12 and 13, respectively. Tampa Bay then faces back-to-back AFC West opponents, hosting the Raiders at 1:00 p.m. in Week 14 before a trip to face the Chargers in Week 15, with kickoff set for 4:25 p.m.
The Bucs then wrap up their season with a trip to Dallas to face the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football in Week 16 before two home games in the final two weeks, first against the Panthers in Week 17 at 1:00 p.m. and then against the Saints in Week 18 to finish off the regular season, with the date and time to be announced at a later date.

The Bucs’ 2024 schedule is highlighted by four prime time games, with three on the road and one at home. The first is a Week 5 Thursday Night Football contest against the Falcons in Atlanta, then there’s a Monday Night Football home game against the Ravens in Week 7.
Just two weeks later, the Bucs are on Monday Night Football again as they head to face the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. The fourth and final prime time game is just before Christmas, when Tampa Bay heads to Jerry World to face Dallas.
Tampa Bay will play six teams that made the playoffs a year ago, of course playing the rest of the division winners in the NFC (Dallas, Detroit and San Francisco) in addition to taking on Philadelphia, Baltimore and Kansas City.
The Bucs’ strength of schedule, based on 2023 win percentage, is tied for third-easiest. Both them and the Chargers are facing opponents who totaled a .478 win percentage last season. However, Todd Bowles’ team is still playing the hardest schedule in the NFC South. The Panthers and Bears are tied for the second-easiest strength of schedule (.467), while the Saints and Falcons tie for the easiest (.453).
Speaking of the NFC South, the Bucs have both of their matchups with the Falcons in the first eight weeks, then have their two games against the Panthers late in the season like they did last year. The Saints games are spaced out, with the trip to New Orleans in Week 6 before the return game at Raymond James Stadium to close the regular season on the first weekend of 2025.
