Bucs focus was clearly on the offensive side of the ball. Adding two interior OL, an elusive RB, receiving TE and slot WR. All the ingredients needed to fortify but also make Coen's offense function.
Bucs did of course add some defensive talent at edge and DB to augment both units.
Overall it felt like a draft that was focused on helping Mayfield while shoring up most of the weak spots on the defense.
A solid B grade from my view. Not all the picks were good value but that is okay because the Bucs improved as a team.
We will see but getting the Center (Barton) who is compared to Jensen and Marpet plus adding the linebacker (Braswell) along with Safety Tykee Smith I grade as an A. The rest of the picks are great picks but I would give the team a B+ to A for overall grade. As always time will tell.

I have read conflicting things about Culp's run blocking. But after watching more closely and reading PFF grades he is actually a good run blocker. His hands are iffy but he has legit speed for a man of his size. Kieft is in danger of losing a roster spot. Or, as someone suggested they may move Culp to WR but I think he needs to develop his hands more to make the move to WR successfully. Right now I would say the top three TEs are Otton, Durham and Culp.
Center. Edge. Cornerback [Safety/Nickel CB]. Wide Receiver. Linebacker [Running Back]. Running Back [Guard]. Tight End.
I'm very happy with the draft, solid B to B+. Filled the holes that needed to be filled. Can address the LB need in FA or in round 2-3 next draft.
Kieft can be the best blocker in the world, but he's such a non-threat as a pass catcher that you are just as well off making a tackle eligible and throw to him. Make Kieft an offensive lineman because that's all he's good for. That was a failed experiment. Bucky Irving - Much to my chagrin, I knew Licht couldn't resist drafting yet another back. But, there was way better talent on the board at #125. I hope I'm wrong, but at first glance, it looks like we drafted a smallish back who can't pass protect for shit.
I did like his 8 sacks last year (pretty similar to Dallas Turner on the opposite side of Alabama, for Saban, in a rotation, and he only started 3 games.
That does have an interesting ring to it. Played against top competition, in a reduced role m, and still had similar production as Chop Robinson. That’s pretty darn impressive.
I get that you’re taking exception to the fact that the writer blew the analysis. I just didn’t want the selection to suffer, due to the exception.

McMillan - sign me up for a member of the Huskie's prolific passing attack and another weapon for Baker. I don't expect him to replace Godwin like many are, but I am expecting him to compete with and ultimately supplant Trey Palmer.
Bucky - the most controversial pick. After we selected Bucky, there was a small run on RB's taken like Will Shipley, Ray Davis, and Braelon Allen. Will be interesting how their careers unfold. I'm not even sure Raachad White is really the best long-term solution for our rushing attack woes.
Klien - a mauler for depth and competition.
Culp - like the addition of athleticism to our TE room. I hope he's a replacement for Ko Kief because I'm not a fan of him being on the field as often as he has been.

Again I'm biased but when he was healthy, all he did was make people miss. Shifty. Great vision. Elite pass catcher just like White.
Ducks offense didn't ask him to block... like at all. So that is a concern and one that we'll have to wait and see if he can pick it up.
Great head on his shoulders, great teammate... and as I mentioned in another thread, when he got hurt the Ducks offense was noticeably more one dimensional.
His shift and vision are very good. Borderline elite... his speed isn't great.
I don't give any bonus points for sticking with your original team as opposed to transferring. I'd be willing to bet Braswell stayed at Alabama because of the NIL money, not despite it. UDFAs Culpepper and Annexstad both transferred to smaller schools which gave them more playing time and a shot, albeit a very small one, at the NFL. I like the draft picks in general because there were no head scratchers. There's usually one or two that make you go "Well I guess Licht knows what he's doing" but each pick makes a lot of sense given what this team needs. He wont offer much in pass protection, and a guy like Will Shipley was right there. However, I do have some familiarity with Bucky’s coach at Oregon. Coach Lock had a lot to say about Bucky Irving. Hoping we maximize the areas of his game that he has a history of producing.
But I have to confirm that I had a similar reaction immediately after hearing Bucky Irving had been selected (while I was screaming for Will Shipley).
But Tykee Smith was a great pick.
